uhhhh...

I got a letter from the bank at which I applied for a credit card, and it reads like this:

拝啓時下ますますご清栄のこととお喜び申しあげます。

このたびはりそなカード《セゾン》ご入会のお申し込みをいただきまして誠にありがとうございました。

さて、早速でございますが、今回のお申し込みにつきまして、弊社のカード発行基準に照らし合わせ検討させていただきましたが、発行をお見送りさせていただくことになりました

お申し込みの意お添いかねることとなりましたが、何卒ご了解贈りますようお願い申しあげます。


Can anyone enlighten me as to what the underlined parts are supposed to mean? The first one sounds like they're saying (literally anyway) we're humbly allowing ourselves to see off (the) issue(ance of your card). The second one sounds like they're saying... omoushikomi no i osoikaneru koto to narimashita. AHHHH! upon closer inspection and with a little help from Jim Breen it seems like they're saying "You don't meet the requirements..."

Oh Japan. Today, I hate you.
